Hi, got a question for the task force experts. Does anyone know of a 5 lug brake hub/drum unit that will fit on the front of a 59 chev pu? I've searched the forum and can't find anything pertaining to this.
Anyway, I used to have a 56 with this set up on it so I know it is possible. (I bought it that way.)
I wanted to find some slot mags with the 6 hole pattern,but i can't find them in the sizes I want without paying a fortune for some obsolete ones. As this is the case, I want to go with a 5 spoke wheel with a 5 bolt pattern. I'm on a budget right now, so I would like to use drums until I can afford the IFS and/or disc brake set up.
Can anyone help? Any suggestions?

Find a set of stock 53 and 54 Chevrolet passenger car front drums and hubs....( they are 5 lug )

They will interchange with your 6 lug stuff.........

I would turn the 5 lug drums and repack the wheel bearings.
When I did this MANY years ago on my 55 Cameo........I bought new bearings and races......because I had no intentions of going to disc brakes.
