6 lug ten bolt?

i have recently broke the factory ten bolt that was in my 86 c10. it was a 2.73 ratio, five lug with the g80 locker. i called a friend and found a nother ten bolt. he told me it was from a 85 k10. its a six lug ten bolt, 3.08 ratio with open diff. i payed $100 for it and its a little chewed up on the inside but i need it to get to work. im just wondering if its a good deal and if maybe i should/could just pull and replace my broken axel with a good one out of the new one. i dont know if the spline is the same yet but what do u think???

Doesn't sound like a good deal to me.
The Axle splines are the same but, I think the Axle length is different between 2X4 & 4X4.

love that a new axel is almost exactly the same i payed for the used rear and gas... but its to late for that. i am having a problem getting the g80 apart tho. it locked up tight after it broke. i did have to drive the truck 5 miles home. id like to pull it apart and fix it one day. i tryed to remove the cross pin but its seems like its got pressire on it and dont wana move free enough to remove. i cant seem to release the pressure without a axel and cant reblace the axel without relesing the pressure
