I have a 400sb 30 over ---stock heads with minor work--515 bump stick--bla bla--just want to know which carb would be better 600 or 650 cfm???cause I was told that bigger isn't allways better...I figure the 600 then always up-jet ..I have both and I dont want to get a 750 since I have 2 carbs allready... Thanks
I guess... Even now with the gas prices going up...She is hungry and getting exspensive to feed...had the 650 on there and then swapped to the 600 and for some reason it seems a little more responsive w/600
it depends alot on the rpm you plan to run if you plan to rev it to 5000 RPMs the 600 is just a little small so Id go with the 650. If you plan to go to 5500 I think the 650 is a bit on the small side, but a 1" open spacer might help. If you plan to go to 6000 RPMs youll need more.
I wont push it past 6000(not yet a least)I believe 6200 is valve limit...1/2 spacer also on an open plane manifold (low rise)
