I am looking to change up the seating on my 59 Chevy truck and am looking for a donor anyone know what vehicles use a 58-61" wide split bench? I used to have a Dakota, and I can't remember the dimensions but seemed about right. If any members own a "mid-size" truck and are willing to take some measurements, it could benefit others with similar searches to mine. I did a search before posting a new thread and only got fragmented information, maybe we can get dimensions on this thread and make it easier for all who are looking for a bench or split bench set up. Looking for width (driver's outer edge to passenger's outer edge), depth (from front of seat to farthest rear point this might be the seat base or the top of the seat back), seat height (distance from floor mounting point to top of seating surface), and seat back hieght (distance from floor to top of seat back)

I have a 60/40 bench seat I pulled out of my truck to install bucket seats. They are within your dimensions. I don't know if I can list the web site here where I have them listed. Someone let me know and I will put up the link so you can view them. Let me know.

An important distinction I should have made was note if it is a 40/20/40 or a 60/40 split bench. If we can muster a list of seat dimensions in a thread, then it would be easily searchable for all independant of the recipient vehicle.

You're right we should. If you have any benches to measure, then maybe you could measure them and post to drum up some enthusiasm.

The 60/40 bench seat in my '97 F-150 is 57" wide. The bench in my '79 Chevy is 60" wide. The reason? The door panels in the F-150 stick out farther into the cab. Window to window, both trucks are about 69".
