I'm rebuilding my 1962 Impala. It's a 2 door hard top sports coupe. My car has the original 235 C.I. 6 cylinder engine, but I want to put a 1958, 348 C.I., 360hp in it. Was this engine available in 62? Does anyone see trouble mating it to my 2 speed Power Glide tranny?

And finally; were can I find a good list of options available on a 1962 Impala?

I know the 409 was and I believe the 348 as well. They look the same to the untrained eye, so if the smaller one wasn't an option you can say it's a 409

Correct. A '61 and '62 are nearly identical as far as brackets etc. so you can use everything from a '61 348 car to drop it in if you don't have '62 409 stuff. Do yourself a favor and replace that '62 cast iron tranny with an aluminum Glide, a TH350 or a 200-4R, the weight savings alone will increase your performance and mileage. I had a '62 SS with a 283 Glide and was going to swap in a 200-4R, just the tranny swap would have shaved 100 Lbs. off the car.
