what is the best low cost solution to the 63 chevy II front suspension.

What are you trying to do and what are the issues?

If it is just worn out they aren't hard to rebuild. If there is just no room to put the engine you want. The V8s are an extremely tight fit. There are several subframe kits out there including these by Heidts. http://www.heidts.com/heip26.htm#sub
They had the best photos to show what was involved.
