'64 deville with buick 350

i recently purchased a '64 deville, the body of the car is awesome but the mechanical is not right, i have a buick 350 and 350 turbo tranny, the previous owner rigged the motor mounts and the tranny cooling lines and so forth, would like some help or advice on how to remidy this issue, ive got a friend who has a '63 sedan, but has the origanal 390 and tranny, please help thanks

I moved this post here from the Introduction forum...I moved it here because your question was a double question and therefore I could not put it in the Engine forum or the Transmission forum. Please place your questions in the appropriate forums...you have a better chance at getting answers that way. I don't really know what you mean by rigged without some pictures or you being more specific. But maybe you just need to get the motor supports as well as the frame mounts from a vehicle type that your motor and tranny came from and weld them to the frame in the Caddy...also do not know what you have going on with your trans cooler lines...but most parts houses sell steel lines in different lengths...maybe you just need to get some that are closer to being right.

Motor mount question

the motor mounts are two peices of qtr inch steel that the previous owner welded together and attached to block and welded to frame, they also notched frame to allow oil filter access, i have access to 63 caddy 390 and trans should i just buy and switch to my 64?
