63 falcon protect

just wanted to say thanks to all the the people that have already helped me. I finley got those valaes adjusted.car starts right up idles fine but as soon as i hit the gas it spits a little gas up in the air and starts poping out of the carb.has some one got an idea why its doing that .and how to fix it.thats the 170 motor

check and adjust the points first.. then check the timing

well i set the valves just like ford six said and ive got every thing gaped to spec points /plugs.going to check timing to day starts right up.iv got some plug wires on ther that arn't so great would that be a problem

check at night and see if there arcing..
