63 falcon trany

is there a tranny that i can put on other then the stock one that will bolt up with out any proplems ,its got the 170 with the 2 speed auto

you could get a cruisomatic 3spd ( c4 ). but it has to be a 170/200 transmission.

The C4's up to 1977 that came on the 200's will fit, the later bellhousings had a mixed Windsor pattern. Your stuck with finding a 170/200 trans though, its a unique bellhousing pattern.

Not sure if the FMX had a 200 bolt pattern bellhousing, someone else might know.

actully, the windsor mixed bellhousing came in 1980 and known as the ' Big Bell ' and with the engine casting being E0-BB it kind of goes alongb
