Do an internet search for Buick Nailhead, there's a lot there. The '64 Nailhead was 364 ci ('57-'66, 2nd gen). They came with 9.5:1 cr and 250 hp, with an optional 10:1, 300 hp version available.

Unless I'm reading it wrong, the Car Craft article you referenced shows the 401 and 425 as the available engines in '64.

64 nailhead was either a 401 or 425. go to www. Buicks.net and there you will find all the specs you need. all 64 Rivieras came with a 425 and it was rated at 465 ft lbs and 360 hp. the 401 was standard in all other 64 big cars and was rated at 325 hp and 445 ft lbs of torque.
