Cool 64 Chevelle

let me tell you what i did with my 65 elcamino. i took the spindles
/calipers and rotors off a 79 monty. bought new upper ball joints
for the 79 which bolt right into 64-65 chevell.bought outer tie rods
for 79 which have same threads as 64-65 . lower ball joints for 80 camaro- i heated my lower control arms with a torch and pressed
them in. or you can tahe them to a mechine shop and have them
machined down to 64 ball joint diamiter. its only a couple thous
of an inch bigger so heating works well. you will need flex brake
hoses from 79 also. i aligned the front end to 80 z28 specs.
i also took a compleet booster and master cylinder set up off a
87 camoro with disk drum setup-the proportioning valve is bolted
right to the 87 master and you will need that and the rod from the peddle. only 2 of the bolt holes from the 87 will line up with your 64 so some fabricating is needed. not a big deal but you will need a welder. the rod from the peddle to the booster will need
modification also-if your not an experianced welder have a pro do this part. if it sounds like a lot of work its not and you can find most parts cheep or free.good luck
