64 impala rear seat divider

Which way does the insulation go on the rear seat to trunk divider? I think that the insulation goes toward the seat and the board toward the trunk.

Is this board decorative? Does the seat fold down? If it does, the insulation goes toward the seat. If the board is not decorative and the seat doesn't fold down, I'd put the insulation toward the trunk.

64 impala rear seat divider

The rear seat board is a replacement for the original one. I just wondered how the original seat divider was installed in the car from the factory. The seat does not fold down.

What do you mean when you say seat divider? Is this also called a package tray? Can you describe the board? What is this board dividing? Is it mounted on the back of the rear seat back?

64 impala rear seat divider

No,that is not what the seat divider is. If i look in the trunk of my car and look towards the back seat i see the trunk divider not the rear of the seat. It covers the seat springs. On my 64 ,if i remove my rear set,i can see into the trunk. This board is like a type of cardboard with insulation on it. It just protects the back of the seat from the trunk.

That's what I thought you were talking about, but there are three (or more) definitions of seat divider for your car. The insulation goes toward the front of the car and the cardboard goes toward the trunk.
