use a thinner gasket, cut the heads as little as possible, later model heads have thinner decks, the more you cut them the thinner the deck gets, the harder it is to keep gaskets in place. if theres room after the thinner gaskets are figured in, decking the block brings comp. up faster than cutting heads requiring less metal removal, however piston to head & valve clearances become critical and must be checked, and you'l probably want to loose the hyd cam in favor of a solid, the lifters are probably gona float long before the engine starts to get going.
