Question 65-66 Chevy truck bed question

Hey all.
My stepdad is looking to get some new parts for a 65-66?(cant remember exactly) Chevy truck.
He wants to get a new shortbed for it. Were the best place to get parts for one? Any ideas of prices? Thanks, HG

www.lmctruck.com should have what your looking for, although you could probably get a fiberglass one cheaper from www.usbody.com

The best place with quality parts is www.earlyclassic.com for the wood part of the bed, you get first rate customer service and they stand behind their parts. http://www.brotherstrucks.com
is another big place I haven't delt with them but they've been around awhile and have a good selection of stuff.
This place is good for alot of hard to find stuff and he has a lot of trucks out back you just have to talk him into partng with them.

Ouch! A whole bed a piece at a time from any aftermarket place is gonna cost more than most folks are willing to pay. Your best bet is to either try junkyards (old country places are by far the best) or buy a whole truck for the bed and piece out the rest. For instance each side of a short stepside bed without the fenders is $400 bucks from LMC then shipping is gonna be truck line only and that ain't gonna be cheap. You looking for stepside or fleet side? All the boxes on the shortbeds are the same 60-87 the only difference is the fenders. There is another place that does bed parts I can't find right now but when I do I'll post a link.

Take a good look at all those folks and www.chevyduty.com.
Compare the prices and shipment. It is surprising the difference between the stores.

You're right Dutch, Chevyduty is only $350 per side with no fenders. Looks like if you add up all steel parts and bolt kits it's right at $1350.00 with out shipping and that's without any wood for the floor. Add another 140 for wood and you'll be around 1500.00 without shipping and all that stuff is oversize and must come truck. Considering I only paid 450.00 for my whole truck, thats a bunch for unassembled bed with no paint. Check out
www.mar-k.com for bed parts also their web site is excellent.
