Question 65 Mustang hood ornament

I had a 65 Mustang in my family that grandma bought new (yes, grandma. she thought they were cute). She bought it from the dealer with a three dimensional mustang horse about 6 inches tall. I'm looking for any info on this hood ornament.

It was most likely a dealer add-on. Was it a new or used car?

Mine doesn't have it. I don't really like the look of it on any car, whether it be a Jag, Mercedes, or a nice 'Stang.

It did not come from the factory. There is a Mustang near me that has rear fender skirts. The only ones I've ever seen. I don't like them but if he does that's fine. He owns the car.
