650 carb or 600 carb?

Hey guys, My RR has a 440 with a 600 holly with vac secondaries on it, I have a 650 holly with mechanical secondaries that Im thinking about putting on the car ...is it worth the trouble to rebuild the 650 and put it on the car? I dont race at the strip..but I want more power..will this make a big difference or is it going to hardly make a difference?

IMO the only difference you will see is your gas mileage. The 600 vac secondary carb can be tuned to whatever point you want. The vac secondary spring can be switched out to where your secondaries can come in very early if you wish. The performance differential between a 600 and 650cfm carb is marginal. Going from a vac 600 to a mechanical 650 will severely alter your gas mileage.
