66 bronco trans and transfer case

hope some one here can help me out again.
i have a 1966 bronco that had a std transmission in it and they replaced it with a auto. trans.(before i bought it ) now the problem is the transfer case fills up with transmission fluid when i have to add some to the auto. trans. is there some kind of return line from the transfer case to the auto trans.?
any help would be great. the trans. keeps loosing fluid and the transfer case keep over filling itself.
thank you in advance for any help

I am reasonbly sure there is supposed to be a seal between the trans and transfer case..have to pull the combo and see..might be helpful to find a tech manual for that..

Yes, it is that simple.Just be sure to install the seal correctly. The side with the spring inside the lip goes toward the trans.check the fit on the transfer case stub to be sure the diameter is correct.

would this mean that there are 2 seals leaking ?
the transmission fluid is going into the transfer case.
this setup is a conversion it has a auto. trans it used to be a standard trans.
it also has some kind of adapter in behind the auto trans and before the transfer case.
thank you for the help
