Post 66 ford truck swapping a 240 i6 out for small block chevy

i know this has been done hundreds of thousands of times but i personaly have never the question is does any one have any tips curently the truck has a 240 i6 and 3 speed tranny the truck came factory with a v8 and one of the previous owners swapped in the i6 i happen to have a newly rebuilt 350 chevy eng sitting on a stand waiting for a project so naturaly i would rather see the eng in the truck than on the stand also i think the tranny is a saginaw but i am by no means a transmission man so i am curious how to tell what it is and if i can swap to a bell housing that will fit the chevy also the truck has manual steering and brakes will i have any clearance problems with headers

any help will be appreciated
