No cutting required. Everthing used the original holes. There was some early concerns of removing the tubular cross member, but the design of the R&P (which is bolted thru the crossmember mounting holes) serves the same function. This basic set up has been used for quite some time in several road racing classes and has been proven under some extreme conditions. This is the first aftermarket steering/suspension set up I would consider in the early Mustangs. The others just have too many bugs. (You get what you pay for)
