its not my car it belongs to a friend of a friend i don't know anything about standard shifters i never owned a car with one i wasn't aware you could even swap around the reverse position there is a good chance the entire drive train isn't original. the owner just wanted to make sure he was putting the proper parts in the car so it all would work correctly.
