66 mustang rear end

Im looking for replacement rear end.. 8.8 what other year and cars will fit in it..thanks for the help

For a direct bolt in, only the 80 Mercury Monarch (and a FEW Granadas) with the delux package that looks like a Versailles had 8.8 on leaf springs 2.47 gear with big drum brakes and is a direct bolt in, except that you will need 67 Mustang lower spring pads and u-bolts since the tubes are 3 inches in diameter, not small and tapered like the old Mustang. The overall wheel to wheel width is the same 57 1/2 and the spring pad width and pinion angle are the same. Get the driveshaft too, since the rear yoke might be different. Yes, the 66 Mustang and Granada cars are the same wheel base so the driveshaft should fit..
