67 chevelle

I'am about to paint a Friends 67 chevell ss. It's a metallic blue with ss 396 hood. The old hood not original was painted blue on the underside but it seems to me GM left the underside e -coat black from the factory on these cars. Anyone remember or have a stock hood laying around?

Yes the undersides of the hoods were left black. You see so many 60's cars nowadays that have been restored that it is hard to remember how they were originally.

They were blackbut it wasnt E coat it was painted with a enamel black witch you can still buy
