Check your accelerator pump. Stroke the throttle with the motor shut down and you should see 2 strong spurts of fuel inside your carb. If not you've got the discharge ports plugged with something.
If all is well then check your timing. Could be retarded.
What carb do you have?

What's your timing set at?
Timing could be retarded!
I assume timing is set per procedure. Vacuum plugged to distributor and then set to required setting.
What distributor?

electronic mallory timing is to factory spec.

Bump your timing up to 12-14 degrees btdc. Hook your vacuum advance up to manifold vac.
You need lots of timing with the crap gas we buy now.
