67 chevy truck disk brakes ,HOW?

i just bought a 67 swb chevy and i want to put 5 lug discs on the front, i have owned a 69 that had disks, and have a 68 for parts that has disks. i want to know if the later 70-72 disk brakes will fit up to the stock spindles or do i need the spindles from a disk truck(im probably going to buy dropped spindles anyway) will the 72 spindle fit the 67 control arms, the 69 and 68 were both done with stock parts but i dont know of what year parts, the previous owner of the 69 said the front brakes were "from a 74 i think" im thinkin i could buy wheel bearings rotors calipers etc and slap em on my spindles, am i right? any one done this ?

use all the disc parts from the '68, problem solved. '67-'72 all has very simmilar stuff, same chassie's, parts will all interchange between chassies.

The information you need can be found at www.67-72chevytrucks.com. But if my memory is correct, the tie rods changed in 71, so you would be best to get the drop spindles now before buying parts for the disk brakes. The drop spindles require that you make the switch to disks... Or put another way, they only make drop spindles [that I know of] for 71-72, not 67-70. The spindles are different again for 73 and up.
