67 GTO Convertible

Hi All,

Ragtop67GTO convertible here from Tulsa, Oklahoma. As you can guess my hot rod is a 67 GTO. I bought it in Oklahoma City in 2000. I drove it 3 years as a daily driver but the rust soon began to creat so many sqeaks and clunks I couldn't take it anymore. I bought a 91 Camaro Convertible and began to restoration on the GTO. What started as a frame on rust repair turned into a full frame off restoration. Lucky I have a 3 car garage. Today the car is back together and I have perform every ounce of the work, which includes the disasembly, restoration on the frame and suspension, trunk replacement, new floors and floor braces, all of the bodywork and paint, M20 4 speed conversion, power brakes, and tons of other upgrades. The paint was all PPG Dark Maple Metalic (marron) code 3333 BC/CC and I painted the entire car - I mean everything - starting with epoxy primer to 4 coats of color and 5 coats of clear. The paint and bodywork was by far the hardest and most time consuming part of the restoration. The drivetrain is all in the I have added a custom serpine belt system and dual quad fuel injection along with the 4 speed. The interior is all custom black cloth with a newer style cloth top. The top is electric actuator rather then messy hydraulics. Right now I am in process of rewiring the car with an EZ wire harness. After that its finish the Classic Instrument All American gauges install, Vintage Air, fuel lines, bumpers and remaining chrome and hit the road. Hopefully sometime in spring/summer 08. Email if you have questions has I have learned tons and would welcome the chance to share what I know. Hello to all, Ragtop67GTO
