67 gto disk brake conversion info needed

Hey there, I have a friend that is starting a 67 gto build. It currently has drum brakes on the front and he was looking for swap info. He is wanting to search and find front disk brakes off of something else to swap over.

I have heard 67-69 camaro, and I would assume 67-69 firebird will swap as long as everything else is swapped, like brake hoses, calipers, rotors, spindles, etc.

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks very much.

anything that is made to fit a Chevelle will also fit that.. Speedway Motors has a kit that will fit the Chevelle.. it's actully listed for GM midsize but in there Chevelle section.. ( GM Midsize includes Chevelle, GTO, Lemans, Cutlass and a couple others )

The 64-72 A-body (GTO, Chevelle, etc), the 67-69 F-body (Camaro/Firebird), and the 68-74 X-body (Nova and clones) all use the same spindles, rotors, calipers, and mounting brackets. You need to use the steering arms from the GTO, since the F-body and X-body arms are different, but these are bolt-on anyway. There are lots and lots of kits available for this swap. As noted, Speedway Motors has about the best price I've seen.
