67 lemans headliner

whats up my fellow car nuts.i am trying to put up a new headliner factory oem .how do you remove the rods ,and is it a easy process or one for the pros .

The bows flex and come out of their respective holes easily. Can you do it yourself? Yes. Will a pro do it better than you? Probably, if you've never done it before. If you decide to do it yourself, do some research. Mark the bows in order from front to back as you take them out. You need to keep the headliner centered, so fold the front and rear of the headliner in half to find the centers, and then locate the centers of the car in the front and back and make sure they line up. The headliner on your car probably gets glued in as opposed to tacked or stapled in like older cars. If you aren't comfortable with contact adhesive, spend the $150 to $200 to let a pro do it.
