Whats a fair price to put a new convertible top on a 67 mustang?

I have a 64 chevelle it was $800 and I was happy to pay it

The early Mustangs are not difficult installs. $800 for a quality top with new pads, cables, rear curtain, and well is a reasonable price. It should also come with new wire-on for the rear bow and a new front trim seal.

Go to a reputable installer and have him show you the different qualities of tops and what is all included in the price. A top alone is not expensive, but all the other things that go with it can add up.

Thanks guys I'am looking at a 67 mustang to build for the wife. Needs a lot of body work which is no ploblem as thats what I do but also needs some seat work and a new top . Old top is still there and complete but dry rotted bad.Just tring to see about what I will have to put into it.Guy want $2000 for car as it sits has been sitting from 1976.

That did include the pads but i bought the top,it was $300,so I had $1100 in it all,plus $200 for a boot cover
