67 pontiac tempest engine swap
I am about to pick up a pontiac tempest sprint. I has the inline 6 230 engine but is missing the tranny. I wanted to put a V8 and tranny in her. What would be the easiest way to go about this and what would I need to complete the job?

It almost seems a shame to rape such a rare car. If I were buying it, I'd find a replacement transmission and put the car back the way it was as produced.
If you want a go-fast car, get the Sprint running and sell it to someone who will appreciate it. Then purchase a lightweight and more common body and do an engine swap. http://www.hemmings.com/mus/stories/...feature11.html
