68 Camaro - What Size Rims?

I have a 68 camaro with 15x8 rally rims on the rear. 275/50r15 MT et street radials. I am not sure if it has the right look! What size rim backspacing should I have?

back space

Back spacing can sometimes be changed depending on tire heighth. The taller the tire the more sidewall bulge. Since the rims and tires you now have fit on the car. Measure the closest spot where the tire meets the inner fender or frame. You should have at least 3/4 of an inch clearance. If you have an inch and a half clearance you can buy a rim with a half inch less back space than the rim you have. To measure back space. Lay a straight edge across the back side of the rim and measure from the center of the rim to the straight edge. With slicks, they grow on acceleration. You want at least 2 inches of clearance around the circumference.
