Post 68 chev truck column swap. HELP

I am restoreing a 68 chevy truck and I amtrying to replace the existing column with a mid 70's van column. What do I need to modify on this column to bolt it up and make the shaft fit?

I saw the artiles, but I am finding that most just say buy an Ididit, or don't go into any detail. I wam looking for someone that has done this to give me an idea of how to change the column to fit properly, but still allow the column to function properly.

I have a 1970 1/2 ton and I changed to the Chevy Van tilt column and power steering at the same time. If I remember correctly I had to change the coupler "rag joint" on the steering shaft. The Neutral Safety/back-up switch didn't want to clear the brake pedal bracket so I had to cut a little notch in it for clearance. The signal wiring plug in connector didn't match up with the connector on the van column but my brother gave me an adapter plug to mate the two different style plugs together. If you can't find one, you will have to cut the wires and add the connector so they match.
