Standard 68 cougar, not the XR7. Anyone have experience? Likes? Dislikes?

i have one , check out my journal. its a great car fun to drive and when you go to a cruise in or car show most times your the only one there. problem areas the cowl rusting out and the leak rust the floors , frame and torque boxes. also the frame rust under the upper control arms where they bolt to the shock towers. around the rear windows, hood and trunk lips.
any questions just hit me up...

I had one until about 76,000 miles when the timing chain skipped a tooth. I traded it soon after. Loved that car because of the looks and not a bad drive for the times. But it had all the weaknesses of the same year Mustang so really was not much of a car.

I foun one for 2500 obo, which an olive green paint with some clearcoat still on it. The interior is also very nice, faded, but not too damaged. It's got no body damage and a rebuilt trans. I'm just lookin for a nice little coupe and the cougar seems really nice for it's price

I would buy it for $2500. Exspecialy if it runs and drives. But you said best ofer so low ball them. Cole

I test drove one off a used lot back in 75 and lacked the power I was looking for even though it was an eliminator. 45min. later I was test driving a 68 GTX
and the same cougar pulled up next to me at a light with some guy test driving it also! I hollered out the window let's see what you got on the green light. Wooped his butt and bought the GTX!
