68 firebird camshaft HELP
I own a 68 firebird with a 400 Ci engine i want to know what the best cam for this engine would be.

Your going to have to give more info then that to know... we need to know things like
Gears Trans and stall (if auto) heads intake headers or not that kinda stuff. Chris |

it has an eddlebrock manafold, carteer comp seres carb, its got headers, and a turbo 350 trans but i might chang it because i think it might be cooked. i plan to go all out on it. i think the rest is all stock outher than that.

Need more then that. There are many types of edl. intakes. Many diffrent stock heads...
Is there any reason your replacing the cam? You going to have to choose if this car will be a street, street/strip, or strip only engine. Also how much money your spending on this. I think you need to find out a little bit more about your engine and what it has done to it. Do this BEFORE you go out and buy a cam... otherwise you just won't be as close as you could be towards the perfect cam. Im not trying to put you down here but this really is important. To make good power you have to have a good combo. What makes you think the trans is shot? It also seems werid it came with a th350 most 400 I know have the th400 behind it. Chris |
