'68 firebird spring perch distance

Need some help! The rear axle in my '68 Firebird appears to be pushed out to one side slightly. The body is straight and so is the subframe. I just found out I do not have the correct rear in my firebird (code on front side of passenger tube is 2TX G80162, this is not original) and feel the spring perches may be to wide or narrow, creating the asymmetry. Does anyone know without a doubt the distance between the leafspring perches as measured from the center of each perch on a stock '68 or '69 firebird?
I'd appreciate any help you may be able to give me.
