69 Camaro - few questions

My friend has a 69 Camaro that we are starting to restore. It doesn't run right now, and doesn't have a front subframe at all.

He said he thinks you can bolt a late-model (3rd or 4th) generation Camaro/Firebird front subframe into a 1st generation camaro.... I find that very hard to believe... anyone know if this is true?

Also, for the rear subframe/suspension, on the 1st gen camaro, aren't the frame rails welded to the car? Isn't that called a Uni-body or something? My friend seems to think that he can "drop" the rear subframe because it just unbolts from the car.... I find that hard to believe also.

Thanks,
Sean

As stated in the previous post, you need all first gen stuff, and a friend that knows early camraro's . Some early 68-69-70ish Nova stuff will transplant.

Ya, 67-69 F-body and 68-74 X-body subframes will interchange. And, yes, the rear frame rails are welded on and are part of the unibody.
