I'm so sorry to hear the bad news please forgive me. This guy is so smart we lost a great one. The wire in question is most definitly a ballest resistor wire and I'm sorry the car is a 67 Camaro. I have a Pro-Billet MSD ready to run distributor in my car and I was considering the option of removing the resistor wire from the harness and replacing it with a new 12-10 ga to the + side of my coil instead of using a jumper from the fuse box ingnition post to the + side of my coil. I'm almost positive in doing that it will be fine and that's why I chimed in here because DOCVETTE mentioned this very option of cutting out the resistor and splicing wires together and run it to the coil but this particular issue was with HEI. Any thoughts or assistance?
