69 chevelle disc brakes

my friend has a 69 chevelle with drums all the way around and wants to change the front to disc. He wants to know if there are any other cars that he could take the spendals and stuff off of that will work on his chevelle?
thanks in advance

Try the salvage yard. They have Hollander exchange manuals or Chevelle sites would have that information. Brake companies would also be another source.
I think any 68-72 Chevelle....Regal...Cutlass.....
70-72 Monte Carlo....
There could be many others....

Any 68 to 72 A body, 70 to 72 Montie as stated above also there are places that will machine drum spindles to work with discs. Another option though it will require more suspension work is a tall spindle conversion from a later B body car, this will improve the suspension geomtry as well as accomplishing the disc brake conversion.

69 Camaro/Firebird & 69-74 Nova (& clones) will also work, but you need to keep the Chevelle steering arms. I would avoid the 4-piston brakes used in 67-68.

The 72 down Gran prix is often over looked because of the size.
Last week end I scavenged 2 complete changeovers at the local
bone yard, I had been over looking them for years, I went right by them every time I went there.

It was a good hunting trip, I picked up a 700r4, a72 nova rear end with multi leaf springs 373s,And the 2 change overs for $300.00.

Good Luck,

Troy,
