'69 Chevelle Rearend number
I bought a rear end for my chevelle recently. I absolutely cannot find the numbers on the pass. axle tube. Actually, I cant find any numbers on the rearend that I found were supposed to be on a chevelle rearend. (not even a date code) I can tell it's an 8.2 rearend by the cover and the suspension brackets look to be setup for my chevelle. What are the exact locations each individual number is supposed to be in. Thanks
*edit* I took a wire brush out there with me and scratched around on the axle tubes and found some numbers. "A C K 006" Anyone know what these mean? Last edited by lt1_performance; 04-25-2008 at 04:14 PM.

Use a grinder with a wire brush attachment this should clean it up enough to locate the numbers. They should be on the top of the passenger side tube.
