69 Chevelle trans swap choices

I've been lazy on a customer's 69 Chevelle and need to get back to it. It's a 350 model with a 2 speed. I never checked to see which one or what the options of 2 speeds there are which is shameful with my background, but I've been lazy... It's burned up and will be replaced with either a TH350 or 400. Which is the better choice considering ease of swapping (driveshaft cutting/slip yoke, rear mount locating, linkage)? He brought me a 350 from a 4 wheel drive but that's just *** backwards to convert it to me. I'd rather start with the right one and build it from there. This will be strictly a cruiser/second childhood with NO performance intentions. Yep, boring. Maybe that's why I can't stay focused...

I believe that tranny would work but you'd have to change the final drive shaft in the tranny and put a tail shaft housing on the case. I think the yolk and drive shaft off the power glide would work. Don't quote me though, check with a tranny shop for sure.

If your PG has a fine spline output shaft your slip yoke will work. The 350 will be a easy swap.
