69 Chevy Van Brake Set-up

Hey Everyone, hows it going? I am new to this forum, well as a poster anyway, I have read alot of things form this site, and many of them have helped me out a great deal in the past.

I own a small resto shop in Windsor Ontario, so having you guys here to help when I need it has been great and continually appreciated, and if I can help you with my knowledge then we can all learn.

At the moment I would like to ask you guys a question or two about 69 Chevy Van Brakes. I am currently working on a 69 Chev Van for a Customer and he would like to update the front brakes to disc brakes. Does anyone know what will work? I know they share midsize drum brake setup from other gm's, but which ones? and but what about discs?

If anyone can help I would appreciate the input.

Well, I know that the front discs off of a 68-72 model chevy C10 will work more than likely.

Although, they may be tough to find.

Hmmm I will look into that

Thanks for the info, hoepfully it will be of some help. All I needed to know was which brakes fit the truck. If they make aftermarket brakes to fit the C10 spindle, then I'll go that route.

Just one quick question, the C10 is a control armed truck yes? But the 69 Chevy Van is a Beam axle truck, they share the same spindle??
