69 & 70 would be best, because they have single-piston calipers. Parts (pads, etc.) are readily available. 65-68 would work, but they have 4-piston calipers which tend to leak (fixable but expensive) and you don't have much choice of pad material. They are also extremely rare.

Yep you need the master cyl. and booster and proportioning valve.

Phat are you going to lower your car?? There are a lot of ways you can lower your impala. If you are going to lower it. You can buy a drop spindle that allows you to use 72 Chevelle disc brake setup. Or if you are using you stock spindle. You can get adapter plates that allow you to use 72 Chevelle disc brakes.... Try these spots for Impala parts..... I have a 66 Impala and these shops have eveything you will need for the disc brake swap....
