7.3L Powerstroke

So here's the deal i live in wisconsin and i go down to visit family in north carolina all the time. my cousin has a 2000 7.3L Powerstroke and he's a little cocky. He wants to hook chains with my truck a 78 chevy with a carburated 350 and a 600 edlebrock carb. what can i do to tune the engine up to get more torque out of it, i know he'll probably pull me up and down the mountains but i just want to make it so i have somewhat of a chance. any suggestions?

Do you have granny gear first. he may be in for a suprise. If so then you just need a load of wood in the back. also be sure to oil his tires before the competion and insist its on the street. No reason to make it a fair fight.

The heavy powerstroke will pull harder cause its got more wieght.

DO NOT PULL EACH OTHER ON PAVEMENT,,roflllll.a transmission will break somewhere
I would take that challenge with my 7.3.
Go off road, spin your back tires to gid a little hole, let him back up to you.Your truck weighs 7,000 pounds, with the back tires in a little rut and your brakes on,he wont even move you.when he digs a hole and cant move, charge him for a tow. The diesel also has a posi rear diff so that also helps
