70 charger back seat removal
Anyone know how to get the back seat out of a 70 charger? I've been working on it for 2 hrs, dont see any hooks other than the 2 in the front, wondering if there is a secret or if its hung up on something. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Trying to get a radio in for power tour.

You have the two in front figured out? Other than brace yourself against the backs of the front seats, use your knees to push back at the bottom, pop the front hooks, lift up and pull it out. I'm talking push hard...

The upper back has a couple of 3/8 bolts that hold it down on each side. And has a hook on the top side.
The lowers can be a bear. Push the front seat far forward and get in with your knees pushing on the rear seat front and push back real hard before you lift. |
might sound odd, but it turns out that in this particular car, the back must be taken out first. The hooks at the bottom of the back retain the lower portion.

So, how much change did you find under the seat? Was there a build sheet there?

I've already got the build sheet, 1 of 600 hemi orange R/T's!, but no change. I was surprised to find that it was the original interior, not bad after almost 40 yrs. Almost worth taking em out and saving them.
