Post 70 olds

I am about to buy a 70 olds cutlas supreme, and i was just wanting to know if there are any problems that these cars are famous for.
i am a mechanic by trade, but if you know something that could save me from banging my head aginst a wall it the future, i would be awfuly thankfull.

rust. one nasty word, i had one few years back. whole bottom of car fell out.

I agree with the rust...bottom of the front fenders and the inside of the rear fenderwells. What the heck, they all were back then. I remember doing burnouts with my buddy and the whole car filling up with smoke! That Rocket 350 was a strong motor, we put it through it's paces. We even went over a 3' wall at 35 mph with the darn thing (not intentional, we werent quite that stupid)!
