700 r4 and lockup
my 700 r4 has the full manual reverse valve body from TCI and the tci computerless lockup. is there a difference between stall and lockup on these.. my converter is a 2800 stall so does that mean driving down the highway in 4th the converter will not lock up or is that when the lockup kit comes into play.
the lock up kit lets the trans lock up the converter automatically, without the use of a computer. when the converter is locked up it is a solid connection between the flywheel and the drive shaft .. just like a manual transmission. the stall part of the converter is only in non lock up .
