700R Problem

Okay, I'll be perfectly honest, I'm at my wits end with this damn transmission. I have the 84' Camaro. I need to figure out whats going on with this. when I floor it the car jumps and goes but wont shift! I've adjusted the kickdown 10 million different ways and no change. but it's only when it's all the way to the floor, it will just hold at like 5200 or something like that. I've tried letting off then on and sometimes it will shift. I've been told it's a lockup selnoid but before I go into doing that and the filter kit I wanna make sure thats the problem. Please help me out here. I'm going nuts.

So the tranny up shifts and down shifts fine under light - moderate throttle?

usually a mismatch of the governor and valve body springs cause this.

Lock up Solenoid has nothing to do with shifts

I'd pull the governor and check the style of weights and tension of springs.

Since you know little about an automatic tranny find someone that has some knowledge is the best idea I can give at this point
