Thanks for the information. I called a local transmission shop and he told me they were not compatable. I orded a rebuild kit for the 4l60e. The 700r4 kit was for a 1990 chevy 1500 and my vehicle is a 95 GMC Sierra 1500. Better safe than sorry I guess.

ok... the gaskets are not the same for a non electronic trans to a an electronic trans. best to buy the correct kit.
