700R4 to 4L60E

greetings... I need to know if it is possible to replace a 4L60E with a 700R4, I know that mechanically they are the same tranny but is it possible to just install a 700R4 without hooking it up to the computer or will that screw things up? if not is it possible to hook the necessary wiring up to a 700R4 so it will be controlled by the computer or would I just be better off transposing the innards of the good 700R4 into the bad 4L60E? thank you!

the 700/4L60 trans can not repalce the 4l60E trans easily. The computer system receives feed back from the transmission 4L60E.... trouble codes will be set

The 700/4L60 can not be hooked to the computer to avoid trouble codes
