700R4 and 4L60E Questions

I would like to start with helping anyone with questions on these transmissions. I have 26 years of experience with these (and other) units and would be glad to help. There are alot of guys spending money on kits and other stuff that are just not needed, I will start for instants with a harden input shaft I have maybe seen one that has broken, out of all the years I have been doing these and I have a unit in a 2004 Silverado turbo charged 5700 lbs 4X4 pick up dynoed at 525 HP with no problems and he runs it hard at the local strip. The later 700s with the 31 spline input shaft is the core to start with update the sprag, clutches, band, and bushings and you are on your way to a strong unit there is other tings that can be done to improve the shifts, corvette servo, accumulator springs ect I am here to help if needed.

As long as you don't outright offer services that you charge for, which is against our membership registration guidelines, then give advice until you can't type anymore.

Like you have done in the recent past, offered services, and even complete transmissions, for personal profit through a business deal, and had the posts edited to remove the information or just plain sent to the Dump forum of our site, us moderators watch EVERY thread, but we also have several hundred active members who will also let us (and yourself) know when you do this sort of thing, end we will edit or remove the thread or post as necessary.

After so many offenses, of ANY type, the offending member gets discussed between the administrator and moderators, and the possibility of a short ban is put into effect, if the problem escalates, the member has the possibility of a permanent ban.

Just sit back and think, are you REALLY going to make any realized profit from telling someone halfway across the country, that you can do service or repair work on their transmission cheaper than one more local to them?

I just posted in another thread about my 700R4 problems, but I might never have it rebuilt, it has been replaced with a heavy duty truck 4 speed transmission.

I will add a bit of information here,

On this board there are several long time professional tranny builders that can offer an answer to questions.

Airworld2 has 20+ years in a family owned shop.

Chazmac has decades of experience and is well known in the industry.

I've been in the business many years. Owned my first tranny shop in 1981.

Many others on this board can offer answers to most tranny questions.

We always like new members with experience to give a fresh look at problems.

Dont worry how old you are... it is the mileage on your body that adds up.
