700R4 Accumulator and auxiliary valve body
Inside my late -87 tranny I have the forward clutch auxiliary valve body, and the 1-2 gear accumulator. These two have some scratches inside the cylinder/valve. Is it somebody that know what impact this damages may have for the tranny. Do I need to change them?
Thanks!! |

re: 700R4 Accumulator and auxiliary valve body
the bores need to be smooth to avoid as many cross leaks as possible

as an example ; If the bore for the aux v-body accumulator is bad. The oil pressure for forward clutch is lost , this can result in slippage and a burned up fwd clutch pack.

re: 700R4 Accumulator and auxiliary valve body
Ok, thanks.
Then I will buy a new one. Maybe that has to do with slipping when kickdown with full throttle from 4 - 3. gear?? What about the 1-2 accumulator? What is the functionality for this one? |
